Hockey

Hockey is the national game of Indian country. It is a traditional game. It is played between stick and a ball. This game consists of two teams. The main goal of this game is that to hook the sticks to hit, push, pass and dribble a small, hard with white ball. A team should have a separate goalkeeper. Each team has ten players. The field players are categorized into three groups such as defenders, attackers and midfielders. The work of the defenders is generally on defense and the attackers are on attack. The midfielders are able to do both the defense and the attacks. Each player has many special skills such as control, pass and push, stop and shoot the ball with hockey stick. To shoot the ball is known as the stick handling and the stick work. The ball control is also known as the dribbling. Stick handling is the special skill to play this game. The hockey match is managed by two umpires. A team has six players namely one goalie, two defenders and three forwards. The right and left defender are placed in opposite to each other. The forwards are in a center of the field, a right wing and a left wing.
